      Description

      • We should provide a mechanism in the matchmaker to explode and implode common terms - meaning going from something very abstract like “make things bigger” to “decrease screen resolution”, “enable magnifier”, “increase font-size AND images” and vice versa.
        • This probably involves reviving the “context terms” work that we shelved during the Crete meeting. But this will also involve radically changing how ontologies work, and instead mapping them using a multi-level term hierarchy with “grade-like merging” rather than the current one-shot deal where we treat the entire ontology mapping as a single MT document
        • This will aid to improve matching in cases where the user is on a platform that matches their preferences poorly (eg. if the user has magnifier settings only, and we’re on a phone)
        • This will help the matchmaker decide on alternative means on a “try different”.
