      Description

      The hostapd access point does not run reliably, as currently configured, on the CHIP.

      The access point has been set up as documented here:

      It is configured to launch when the wlan1 interface comes up, with the following line in /etc/network/interfaces:

      hostapd /etc/hostapd.conf
      

      However, when the CHIP is powered on, the access point does not always start.

      Instead, try running hostapd as a service (and remove the line above from /etc/network/interfaces), as discussed here:
